Better Lives, Not Just Better Plans...
Aimee Ortiz-Day has been a certified Person Centered Thinking Trainer since 2017 and is also a Program Manager at the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University (CDD.) Her programs support person centered practices, increase self-advocacy skills, and promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in their communities.
She is the mother of two young men who are adventurous, funny, kind and have a disabilities. Aimee credits Person Centered Thinking & Planning for the growth that she has seen in her son's ability to advocate for himself at school. He participates in his IEP meetings and shares his future goals with his team. This provides positive control over his education and the team works together to help him reach his vision of a good life.
